Afrishop General Terms & Conditions/Policy
A) Introduction

  1. “Afrishop” is a brand for Shop Afric.com e-commerce and social media platforms

2. “Afrishop” currently trades in Uganda only. But can also trade in the entire East African region.

3. “Afrishop” offices are located at the Volcano Bus Terminal building, adjacent to Rohana Primary & secondary schools in Bakuli town along Namirembe road, Kampala-Uganda

4. “Afrishop” is entirely an e-commerce platform. We don’t have any store open to the public to come and shop in a conventional shopping way.

B) Terms and conditions

By shopping on our e-commerce platform means you accept and are bound by these terms and conditions.

ORDERING AND DELIVERY

  1. We deliver by courier to all major towns in Uganda, but customer can choose self- pickup of order at our Kampala office.

2. Within Kampala city and outer radius of 15kms, we deliver physically. However courier delivery services and self product pick-up can also be used on agreement with customer depending on customer location, volume, urgency or sensitivity of the customer order

3. Whether delivery is by courier or Afrishop physical delivery, Afrishop maintains responsibility of the order until it is physically received by the customer.

4. We have 2 types of product delivery groups “Afrishop Instant delivery products” (products delivered instantly from our stock, and “Imported on Order” (products we import after confirming the order and delivery time for these products range between 21-60days). Delivery days is usually informed and discussed with customer after placing order. The product delivery groups are indicated on the product page. So always check the product group status before placing order.

5. Within Kampala city and its 15kms radius, delivery usually takes 30 minutes – 4 hours after order confirmation, depending on customer actual location. For upcountry destinations, delivery can take 4hrs-2days after order confirmation, depending on customer location.

6. All payments including delivery charges are paid in advance. We process and deliver orders after we have received payment from customer. However for store pickup orders we accept cash payments at the pick-up time.

7. Also we accept cash payment for customers within Kampala city and 15km radius whom we (Afrishop) agree to deliver the order physically. This however has to be pre-agreed between Afrishop and customer prior to delivery.

8. All upcountry customers whose orders have been couriered to them bear the responsibility to pick-up their orders from the courier company not exceeding one week from day of communication of order arrival. After one week, Afrishop will not take responsibility of what happens to the order.

9. Customers bear responsibility to check delivered product for any damages or wrong product immediately the order is received.

PRODUCT RETURN/REPLACEMENT/REFUND

  1. Afrishop accepts return of products with genuine return reason not exceeding 2 days after receipt. However a longer return period can be agreed between Afrishop and customer.

3. Any returned product shall be accepted in un-tempered form. For example its packaging, tags, labels, physical form, etc must not be tempered with.

4. Nature of action(refund/replace/retain on concession) on returned product shall be agreed between Afrishop and customer

5. For any customer within Kampala city and 15km radius who cancels the order when the delivery person has already reached or already on the way to the delivery point, the customer shall be obliged to pay the agreed delivery charges.

5. No product shall be refunded or replaced until the product in question has been received at Afrishop office for verification unless otherwise agreed with the customer

ORDER CANCELLATION

  1. Afrishop can cancel any order within 2 days of receipt without giving reason

2. Orders placed by customer on our e-commerce platforms without effecting payment or confirming self product pick-up or payment on delivery shall be considered null and void.

3. Customer can cancel any order of the “Afrishop Instant delivery” group any time before delivery or before the product is couriered without giving reason

4. However, orders for products in the “Imported on order” delivery group cannot be cancelled by customer when placed, except when product delivery date exceeds the pre-agreed date

2. Before any product is returned, customer must first discuss with Afrishop citing genuine reasons for return and an agreement reached, otherwise the returned product shall not be accepted

6 Likewise, any upcountry customer who cancels order when it has already been couried, the customer will be obliged to pay delivery charges for both sending and returning a product
